1 – Retreat “The 9 Preliminaries” or “Ngöndro” (1st part), from Thursday, March 1 to Sunday, March 4, 2018. Location: Tazig Center of Montpellier, 22 rue de la République (near St-Roch station) from 10 am at 18 o’clock.

This retreat is for people who wish to embark on the spiritual path. It is the basis for discovering the nature of the spirit and receiving the blessing of the masters of the lineage.

Lama Samten Yeshe Rinpoche will convey to us the meaning of these practices according to the Bön teachings that are at the origin of Tibetan culture and spiritual practice.

In this first step, we will study:

– The prayer to Nyame Sherab Gyaltsen recognized as the second Buddha. He founded the Menri Monastery in Tibet. He lived in the fourteenth century.

– The practice of Guru-yoga that allows our mind to open to the blessing of the master and to receive all the spiritual influence.

– Taking refuge and prostrations. Taking refuge in the Three Jewels is an act of devotion that brings peace of mind and strengthens our confidence.

– Bodhicitta, to develop the spirit of awakening to oneself and all sentient beings.

Understanding these teachings is about developing our devotion and the true nature of our mind. Lama Samten will lead us to memorize these different prayers through singing and repetition in the silence of our mind.

Advanced practitioners will be able to accumulate their practice on their mala. These moments of practice will be accompanied by yoga and meditation to internalize and discover our inner peace.
